Syllabus

St Alphonsa Public School & Junior College meticulously follows the CBSE-prescribed syllabus, ensuring a well-structured and progressive learning experience for students. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, we focus on holistic development, flexibility, and inclusivity by providing individualized care for each child. Following the guidelines outlined in the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, we promote competency-based learning and the development of 21st-century skills. To ensure personalized attention and effective mentoring, the school maintains an optimal teacher-student ratio of 1:30 in each division from Standard I to X. This structured approach allows educators to cater to the individual learning needs of every student, fostering both academic and personal growth.

With 690 students currently on roll, the school boasts a well-organized infrastructure and a sophisticated learning environment. Regular Open House meetings are conducted, where parents and teachers come together to assess student progress. Through effective remedial measures, the school ensures that every child receives the necessary support to stay on track with their academic journey.

For pre-schoolers, the curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation in the three R’s—reading, writing, and arithmetic. However, beyond academics, the school places greater emphasis on the physical and emotional well-being of these young learners. Recognizing that many children today grow up in nuclear families with limited outdoor exposure, St. Alphonsa Public School provides a nurturing and engaging environment where they can develop social skills, explore their creativity, and strengthen their physical abilities.
